Work hard and be nice to people...

Featured Artist: Charlotte Hicks

February 01, 2016

To please your eyes this winter, we are very excited to introduce our first featured artist of 2016, Charlotte Hicks. Like us, her beautiful work is inspired by her love of nature and we have the pleasure of sharing her illustrations with you.

As a child, Charlotte couldn’t be parted from her pencil, and throughout her life this has developed into a fascinating talent greatly admired by many, especially us. Born in the countryside, Charlotte grew up surrounded by wildlife and flowers and her work is defined by the beauty of the natural world.

Charlotte’s illustrations are created using a variety of fine liner pens, which allows her to create a great level of detail in her drawings, allowing her to build upon depth through layers of dots.

Charlotte’s passion for art and design delightfully became her profession when she graduated from Manchester School of Art in Illustration in 2015. Her dream is to build a range of artwork and sell her wonderful creations on her online shop.

Having featured in local magazines and running successful market stalls, we hope Charlotte’s unique work continues to emerge and receive the positive feedback it deserves.
